Overview

StockyShift ("the App") is a purchase order and low stock alert tool for Shopify merchants. This privacy policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

When you install StockyShift, we access the following data from your Shopify store:

• Store information: Store name, domain, email address, and timezone
• Product data: Product names, SKUs, variants, inventory counts, and prices
• Inventory levels: Current stock quantities for all products and locations

We also store data you provide directly within the App:

• Vendor information: Vendor names, email addresses, and order preferences
• Purchase orders: PO numbers, order quantities, costs, and receipt records
• Reorder points: Stock thresholds you set for each product

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to provide the App's functionality:

• Display product inventory and low-stock alerts
• Generate and send purchase orders to your vendors via email
• Sync inventory levels between StockyShift and your Shopify store
• Send low-stock notification emails when products fall below reorder points

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in a secure database on Render (our hosting provider). We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (TLS) and follow security best practices. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for any purpose.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your Shopify store has StockyShift installed. When you uninstall the App, your data is retained for up to 48 hours to allow restoration if you reinstall, after which it is permanently deleted.

Third-Party Services

StockyShift uses the following third-party services:

• Shopify API: To read/write product and inventory data from your store
• Render: Cloud hosting for the App's servers and database
• Resend: To send purchase order emails to your vendors and low-stock alerts to you

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and data handling practices. We only share the minimum data necessary for the App to function.

Your Rights

You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it at any time. Uninstalling the App from your Shopify admin preserves your data for 48 hours (so reinstalling restores it), after which it is permanently deleted.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
